Samsung Electronics has officially introduced the Galaxy Z TriFold, a device poised to redefine the mobile landscape in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Announced today, the TriFold is the pinnacle of the company’s decade-long investment in foldable technology, showcasing engineering mastery that delivers an unprecedented balance of portability, premium performance, and productivity.

The core innovation is its unique ability to unfold twice, transforming from a slim, premium phone into a massive, immersive 10-inch display the largest screen ever featured on a Galaxy phone. This multi-folding design, protected by refined Armor FlexHinges and Advanced Armor Aluminum, allows the device to be as thin as 3.9 mm at its most slender point when unfolded.

The TriFold’s large screen experience is optimized for a seamless mobile workspace. Users can multitask effortlessly across three portrait-sized apps simultaneously, leveraging the power of standalone Samsung DeX to create a full desktop environment, even allowing for the use of up to five apps concurrently across four workspaces.

Beyond productivity, the device is a flagship powerhouse. It runs on the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, boasts a powerful 200 MP camera, and features the largest battery in a Galaxy foldable—a 5,600 mAh three-cell system. Crucially, the device is deeply integrated with Galaxy AI, enhancing features like Generative Edit and multimodal AI assistant, Gemini Live, which uses the expansive screen to provide contextual, real-time assistance.

As stated by TM Roh, CEO of Samsung’s DX Division, the Galaxy Z TriFold “solves one of the mobile industry’s longest-standing challenges,” setting a new benchmark for what a highly portable, ultra-powerful device can achieve for work, creativity, and connection. The TriFold is set to launch in select markets, including Korea, starting December 12, 2025.
