Debuting as the flagship character for the Year 4 roster, Yasmine brings authentic Southeast Asian representation, high speed rushdown combat, and rich cultural homage to the iconic global stage.

Story and Combat Mastery

Trained in Eskrima the traditional martial art of the Philippines Yasmine learned her discipline under the guidance of her Lolo (grandfather) alongside her Kuya (older brother). Her journey begins as she sets off across the world to search for her missing sibling.

In battle, Yasmine wields a curved Karambit knife and relies on high-speed, acrobatic slashes designed to relentlessly pressure opponents. Executing precise move chains builds up her unique Bayani Mode, an empowered state that unlocks extended combo paths and enhanced offensive options. Capcom went all-in on cultural authenticity, assigning Tagalog titles to her signature special attacks including Lipad ng Agila, Nakatagong Lakas, and Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita.

Cultural Detail and Design

Beyond her moveset, Yasmine’s design seamlessly weaves Filipino heritage into Street Fighter‘s stylized aesthetic. Her primary outfit incorporates the bold sun-and-stars color palette of the Philippine flag, woven alongside subtle traditional Baybayin script across her attire. Players can also unlock her secondary outfit, which dresses her in a classic school uniform between bouts.

Her launch kicks off a stacked Year 4 DLC lineup which includes upcoming combatants Arjun, Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII Remake), and Bosch alongside major game-wide battle balance adjustments.
